MTV and Cattle Republic

Okay so it’s been a long 3 weeks, and am currently recovering from spending them with with a fifteen year old who apparently happens to be my sister.  I now know every Justin Beiber song in existence,  have spent my nights falling alseep to the sound of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and “Jersey Girls”, and the flat has gone from Hurricane Katrina to all out Hiroshima.

Anyway have decided to keep these posts shorter, sweeter and more regular, as well as more Art’s orientated.  There’s a pretty interesting exhibition at Zara Gallery on July 5th, pairing Cattle Republic [Ahmad Sabbagh and Michael Schinkoethe formerly of Blouzaat] with up-and-coming artist Shereen Audi.

Neither artist is quite as well know as they should be.  Shereen’s work deals with dreams of escape and feelings of entrapment, while Ahmad’s is an excellent example of the narrowing divide between new media, graphic design and art.  You can find out more here and here.

In other news i finally got an argila pipe!
